We believe that the most effective way to serve the materially poor in our city is through partnering with other churches and Christian organizations. The core of our inner city outreach ministry entails building meaningful, Christ-centered relationships. On Saturday mornings, we partner with churches in Boston to serve breakfast at the Congregación León de Judá and go out on the streets near Boston Medical Center to pray for and share the gospel with people experiencing homelessness. We are involved in other activities in the city such as haircutting at a men’s rehab center and hosting journaling groups at a women’s homeless shelter.

Do you have a heart for mentoring or tutoring? Symphony Church is partnered with Boston Public Schools through our Education Initiative. The Thomas Edison K8 School in Brighton and the Dr. William W. Henderson K-12 Inclusion School in Dorchester are seeking classroom support for a variety of talents and skill sets – ranging from math and literacy support, to music, theater and coding.
Volunteers must be willing to commit to volunteering on a weekly basis during school hours. Please see the full list of opportunities here. If you’re interested, please fill out this interest form by 1/20. If you have any questions, please email education@symphonychurch.com.
