UPDATED – 3/12/20

Dear Symphony Church,

As you are all well aware, with the spread of COVID-19, we are currently in the midst of what the World Health Organization has officially classified as a pandemic. As a staff, we have been continuously monitoring the situation in the Greater Boston area and have been in conversation regarding our response to it. One thing is for certain, as we mentioned in our previous statement, in these challenging and confusing times: our hope is that we can be a church that acts in both wisdom and love, not fear. We believe that Jesus is the resurrection and the life, which means our greatest hope is not to have a healthy wealthy life, as though this life were all there is, but our greatest hope is to be with Jesus forever, starting now.

Therefore, we want to be a community that ministers to those in need as Jesus commanded us while also acting wisely for the sake of the church body and for those in our surrounding communities. After much conversation and prayer, our staff has decided that the most loving and wise thing to do is to move our weekly events and services online for the foreseeable future, beginning this weekend.

Below, we have provided details for Sunday service, as well as our other events.

Sunday Services

Beginning this Sunday, March 15, there will be one service at 10 AM via livestream. This can be accessed via the Symphony Church app (there is a tab on the bottom with a “play button” icon). If you have not yet downloaded the app, you can do so at You can also access the livestream via browser at This info will also be posted on social media on Sunday morning.

We encourage you to access the livestream a few minutes prior to 10 AM to ensure you are ready for worship.

Friday Night Discipleship

This week, all our Friday gatherings (Experiencing God, Praise & Prayer Night, Freshman Discipleship) will be replaced with a virtual prayer meeting beginning at 7:30 PM. Details for this will be shared via social media tomorrow afternoon.

Please look out for communication next week regarding future discipleship meetings.

Prayer Meetings

We will have morning prayer at our church office tomorrow morning at 7 AM. However, starting next week, our Monday night and Friday morning prayer meetings will be moving online. More details will be shared later on social media.

Family Group

We will do our best to continue meeting in our Family Groups for as long as we are able to do so. Further instructions will be provided by your Family Group servant in the days to come.

This is new territory for all of us and therefore, we recognize that these decisions may bring their own share of challenges. However, we hope that during this season, we will continue to show one another grace and love and that we will be able to pursue Christ through it all. As much as this is a time for caution, it is a time for continual prayer. We want to bring every fear and anxiety to the Lord, trusting that He is watching over us. Pray especially for those most vulnerable, including the elderly, those with weakened immune systems and those who will be most economically impacted due to business closures.

Throughout this time, please keep yourself informed via the links below. And as always, the staff is available to you — please do not hesitate to reach out.

God bless,
Symphony Staff
